Accidents and injuries can occur anywhere - at home, at the workplace, while driving or while participating in sports events. They are not wished for but they do happen. Hence, it is essential to be prepared for such medical emergencies.

A first aid kit is essential for church and every home. You never know when an injury or illness may occur on your watch, and you don’t want to be caught off guard when it happens. Providing immediate and effective first aid to people who have become injured or ill may reduce the severity of the injury or illness and promote recovery.

As we experienced tonight, one of our youth was cut by a protruding rusty metal in the lower part of his knee, while he was playing by the side of the road. It is 1 inch wide and 3cm deep, and you can almost see the bone. He was immediately given first aid with the help of Ps. Ella and brought home to let his parents know what happened, and explained what they should do, such as being immediately taken to the hospital to be injected with anti-tetanus, as soon as possible.

Keeping a first-aid kit at home and in the church can help you respond effectively to common injuries and emergencies. This can save lives and may prevent minor injuries becoming major ones.
