Let's Help and Rebuild

Updated: Apr 4, 2023

If you have been following our blogs for the past weeks, you'll know that a huge fire last February 17 happened that took homes of more than 100 families.

We've done a couple of feeding program to be of help even in little way and as days passed, we continually prayed for them and their families. Knowing that our good Lord is preparing the best that will come.

And so, with the help of our friends from Australia and Singapore, who have been with us here in Baseco. They've seen first hand the works that God has bestowed upon us for the community and generously given an ample amount to share their blessings.

This afternoon, we distributed 10 kilos of rice to the 100+ families, some who are already picking up the pieces of their home to rebuild, while others stayed at the evacuation center for their temporary shelter.

The process of distribution starts by the team taking the details from the barangay officials to make sure we were able to reach out to all the fire victims. On the time of distribution, every beneficiary should present their "Yellow Card", this contains information of the the individual and her/his family member, which serves as their ticket to get any relief goods from any organization.

Before the giving starts, Ps. Manny share his testimony of how God made a way for him and his family, encouraging everyone that what we/they may get, God is still the One who can satisfy our soul.

While it might be a small act of kindness, 10 kilos may last to 5 to 7 days depending on the family size, which means one of the day-to-day basic needs of the family has been tick-off from the list of worry. It may also mean that their income can be used for other necessities.

So from our team, from all the beneficiaries and fire victims, THANK YOU FOR BEING GOD'S BLESSINGS TO US.
