Random thoughts..

Everytime I see this picture of Nanay Chris holding Dodong (a boy who used to be under church's care due to dysfunctional family), I can't help but thank God that we have a role model to follow.

I remember whenever Nanay Chris was walking around Baseco, or just sit outside and have a chat with the neighbours, hindi pwedeng hindi siya paligiran ng mga bata 😊 aside from she's a foreigner, I think it is the motherly love that the kids get whenever they are around Nanay Chris that keeps them wanting to be with her.

Sa napakaraming bata sa Baseco, with all sorts of story to tell (from child labor to help feed the family, out of school youth, or simply coming from dysfunctional family), I guess child is still a child inside. They wanted to feel loved and cared.

And though Nanay Chris is not around anymore, her legacy continues.

The children that Ps. Mark and Nanay Chris used to take care, are now taking care of other kids.
