Last Sunday we talked about the real meaning of Joy.

In Merriam Webster dictionary, joy is a feeling of inner happiness and contentment that can be expressed in different ways. But the Bible says that, joy is a good feeling in the soul produced by the Holy Spirit as he causes us to see the beauty of Christ in the Word and in the world. It is the fruit of a right relationship with God and not something we can create by our own efforts.

We often assume that the fleeting feeling of happiness, giddy laughter and contentment in the comforts of life is akin to the joy we experience in Jesus.

The joy that comes from the Lord is more than this world can give. The joy of this world has an end or is short-lived but the joy that comes from the Lord is forever.
