EMPOWERING FUTURES!!!

Updated: Jul 17

At our local church, we empower young people from underprivileged backgrounds to pursue education and create brighter futures. Through our Student Sponsorship program, we provide essential support that enables these students to achieve their academic goals and realize their potential.

In a community where challenges are part of daily life, education is a precious goal. Here, dreams of a better future are kept alive with hard work and hope, despite many obstacles. The students in our program show this spirit of never giving up. They strive every day, eager for the chance to learn and succeed.

WHY SPONSOR A CHILD?

Education is a Filipino dream and for many Filipinos, it is their chance to escape poverty. One of the main reasons why Filipino children are deprived of a good education is due to financial concerns and the impact of sponsorship for students is life changing.

Sponsorship's have a big impact on the lives of students, as this alleviates the burden of costs as well as providing access to a basic human right. Education is an investment as it is the path that leads towards empowerment and employment.

"EDUCATION is the most powerful tool which you can use to change the world."

- Nelson Mandela

Be part of someone's changed life. Sponsor a child's education.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO SPONSOR A CHILD?

The cost of sponsorship is as follows:

  • Elementary school (Grade 1 to 6): 3,960 PHP per year.

  • High school (Grade 7 to 12): 11,440 PHP per year.

  • College (Public): 25,300 PHP per year.

This amount covers the student's school fees and basic expenses such as uniforms, textbooks, stationery and etc.

Please note!!!

  1. Before the school year starts, we give 2000 PHP for their purchase of school supplies, which is included in the total budget of the student.

  2. Then the remaining funds are allocated for their weekly allowances.

    1. Junior and Senior High School students receive 200 PHP weekly,

    2. College students receive 500 PHP weekly,

    3. Elementary students, on the other hand, receive 400 PHP every grading period (4 grading period).

  3. You can provide monthly funding or one-time support for the entire school year of the student you are supporting.

  4. We also charge an admin fee that is already included in the cost to help cover the administrative costs of running the program.

  5. The school year 2024 to 2025 will begin on July 29th. If you or someone you know is willing to support or sponsor, they have until July 22 to decide. This is one week before classes start, so it gives enough time to inform chosen students and allow them to prepare their school supplies.

  6. We encourage you to sponsor a child through their entire education stage, like elementary school, high school, or college, instead of sponsoring them year by year. This helps the child avoid interruptions to their education.

HOW CAN I SIGN UP TO SPONSOR A CHILD?

  1. Send an email to baseco.mission@gmail.com, put 'STUDENT SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM' in the subject.

  2. Provide your details, your full name, and where you are from and wait for our response for further details.

  3. After you have chosen who you will sponsor, we’ll add you to our sponsor database and send you updates on your sponsored child via email.

  4. Once you’re done, we will send you with more information on your sponsored child and how you can make the most of your new journey.
